Bill’s Day

David Lloyd and I drove down from London and arrived at Bockhampton in the mist. This soon cleared and the sun came out and all was well with world. It was a gorgeous morning, sunny, very little wind and plenty of Grannom. The trout however have not quite got the hang of rising to them yet and we saw very little surface activity, but managed a couple of trout each on GRHE and Klinkhammers.

In the afternoon we went up to the Upper Water and fished up from the Whitfield Hatches and had one more small fish each. While up here we bumped into Keith Lancaster who was a “mine of information”. It was a fabulous day and a joy to be back on the Frome.
