Bolt Upright
A good few hours spent clearing up after the last few storms that swept over the Frome Valley. Up by the Upper Water Fishing hut, several willow trees and a dead ash tree had been blown over.
We started on the two willows, but as John Aplin cut the last big branch, both trees sprang bolt upright, as if nothing had happened, well except for a haircut!!
We cleared a path around the dead ash tree and best keep clear of this until it can be removed by the tree surgeons.

The Club
The Club is a private one, founded in 1877, of approximately sixty-four members and six Town Rod subscribers. The Club’s waters consist of about 12 miles of wild brown trout & grayling fishing in the main River Frome, River Cerne and River Piddle, together with attendant carriers and side streams. The waters extend both above and below the town of Dorchester and the Club employs a part-time keeper.
