French partridge of course!!

The mayfly are at last upon us, a patchy start, the fish seemed to take a day or two to get on them, today is drizzle and humid, could be an awesome day on the river..

Lovely reports heading my way, good fishing on the Cerne and the Piddle, the main stem now coming into its own, fish to just over magical three pounds, on the French partridge of course!!

The main river is running rather coloured, not so much the rain, more high nitrate levels and an on-going algal bloom, I was working under Poundbury a day or so ago and despite the coloured water the mayfly were coming off in good numbers and plenty of fish eating them..

Don’t miss out on our lovely mayfly fishing, head out to the river!!
