Those Temperatures

I managed to get down to the river on Saturday 10 Jan. I couldn’t resist having a go, although I wasn’t sure how long I would last in those temperatures. It was already about 2.00pm and my first cast with heavy nymph to the far bank produced a grayling of about 14 inches. Within a short time, I’d had 5 more, and a beautifully conditioned rainbow too. It’s amazing how a fish on the end of the line warms you up!
